What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness Definition:
A mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.
“Mindfulness means paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, infused with qualities like kindness, curiosity and acceptance.”
(Shamash Alindina)
Mindfulness & Yoga
‘Yoga is mindfulness in movement. Through being aware of your sensations, breathing, thoughts and emotions, you bring mindfulness to your practice. Using yoga to develop mindfulness increases the likelihood that you are mindful whenever you move, and so helps mindfulness to become part of your life and being rather than just a technique. I highly recommend yoga as a mindfulness practice.’

New Mindfulness Cards
Use Mindful Moment cards to support your children at home and the children you work with!
You can even use them as an adult – many of the practices are the same.
