About Mindful Moments Cards
Mindful Moments is something that has been taking shape over the past 3 years, in response to working with schools and other settings who were looking at how it would be possible to incorporate movement, breathwork, meditation and mindfulness into the learning environment and children’s daily experience.
The aim of these cards is to offer staff and children some simple tools that will help children (and staff!) to find more balance in their day. The cards offer tools that help quieten the mind and relax the body, so that the children are in the right place physically, mentally and emotionally to concentrate and focus on work, feel good about themselves and be kind to themselves and others.
the cards are in 5 different sections with
MOVE CARDS – Use Move cards daily, to promote a healthy, strong and relaxed body.
BREATH CARD – Use Breathe cards daily, to promote a relaxed body, a balanced nervous system, a happy tummy and concentration.
REST CARDS -Use rest cards daily, to promote stillness, rest and reflection.
CONNECT CARDS – Use connect cards regularly, to promote a sense of wellbeing, belonging and community.
SENSE CARDS – Use Sense cards regularly, to promote mindfulness, awareness and focus.
Amelia currently shares this training at schools.
She also teaches these games and techniques at Yoga Satsanga Ashram on the Children’s Yoga Teacher Training.
Is this course right for you?
This course is aimed at people who are already working with children and are in position to promote children’s wellbeing by sharing Mindful Moments with them on a daily/weekly basis. Its would also be suitable for anyone already working with children in a therapeutic way, and are looking for ways to incorporate mindfulness into their work.

Please note, this is a workshop that will guide you in how to use the cards with children. you will learn about how mindfulness can support the environment you work in, and help children to regulate and respond and engage with each other in a more positive way.
If you are looking for a qualification that will enable you to become a fully certified mindfulness teacher please look elsewhere. Our intention with this course is to provide training and tools for those already working with children, and not to ‘dilute’ the education and learning process of those who wish to pursue the path as career. that being said, this course would certainly compliment any other training you do.
