Yoga & Mindfulness for Young People
Mindful Support for Your Teen’s Mental HealthWhy Young People Need Support More Than Ever
Today’s teenagers are growing up in a world that moves fast, expects a lot, and rarely pauses.
From academic pressure and social anxiety to overwhelm, low self-esteem, and screen fatigue—many young people are struggling to stay grounded.
🌀 It’s no surprise that anxiety and stress are rising sharply in schools and homes.
Parents often see the signs:
-
Trouble sleeping
-
Withdrawing from friends or activities
-
Overwhelm around exams or schoolwork
-
Low mood or burnout
-
Tension, irritability, or emotional outbursts
These are not signs of failure—they’re signals that your child needs support, tools, and space to feel safe again.
About me
As a mother of three, including a teenage son with ASD, I understand first-hand how complex and emotional the journey can be—especially when your child is struggling with anxiety, stress or navigating the world in a way that feels overwhelming. The past few years with my eldest have been turbulent, but through patience, connection, and the tools I now share in my work, he is thriving. That experience fuels everything I do.
I’ve spent over 20 years working with children, teens and families—as a qualified youth worker with a BSc Hons in Childhood and Youth Studies, specialising in social inclusion and public health. I hold a range of yoga and mindfulness qualifications for all ages—from babies to adults—and I’m currently studying advanced Pranayama (yogic breathwork), deepening my understanding of how the breath supports our mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing. This work underpins the gentle, trauma-sensitive support I offer to young people.
Through 1-1 sessions, school-based teaching, and family wellbeing programmes, I’ve helped many young people build confidence, manage anxiety, and reconnect with calm. I also work closely with parents—because when we’re regulated and supported, our children feel that too. My approach is nurturing, evidence-informed, and grounded in real life. If you’re looking for compassionate, practical support for your teen, I’d love to help.
